Taycan braking issue.

FYI, a few members on another forum indicated that they're experiencing less grip, a tendency to lurch, and greater pedal travel, requiring earlier anticipation as well as greater pedal pressure in order to bring their Taycan to a stop at lower speeds. After performing several diagnostic tests, my Porsche SA determined that the cause was attributed to a faulty brake booster. The system was not amplifying the intended force that enables the vehicle to be brought to a full stop in a timely manner. Since its replacement, the braking behavior has been fully restored to its peak level of performance as I've noted in the other forum. For those of you who are experiencing similar issues, a visit to your Porsche SA is highly advised.

Thank you for this post. I've had similar issues at very low speeds - when parking. Did your Dealer change the booster under warranty?

Yes, the booster was replaced under warranty and now the brakes work like a champ.

Just took my 2022 4s to Porsche dealer for the first time! No problems at all except . . . a grinding noise as the car came to a stop. When the dealer took the car they found a number of "recalls" that I hadn't heard about. Those were easily handled.
When it came to the brakes, they tried bleeding them, etc. and after several days determined the problem was that same defective brake booster mentioned in this thread. Took two weeks to get the part (no problem because we had a loaner Cayenne from them) and the brakes now work as designed.
Question: Is this a 2022 model year issue? Or have later year models also seen this?
Taycon 4S is a fantastic vehicle. Does everything I expected - and more.

I got a similar feeling with my brakes, I’m going to take it in to the Porsche dealer and see what they say. I’ll mention the brake booster to them and see, glad I found this thread!
