Hi All and @Tom would you know where to get the touch of paint for the satin black wheels for the 992 GTS? Can't seem to find anything on them. They have them for silver wheels.

If it's a small nick, I'd try a regular old Sharpie. They also make fade-resistant Sharpies that would probably last longer. I use Sharpies all the time on black trim and wheels. For small nicks, it usually looks better than touch-up paint since it doesn't get blobby, etc. If you get close enough you can see it, but that's true of most touch-up paint efforts too.... If it's too big for a Sharpie, most dealers have curb rash magicians they work with. Then I curbed my 992 wheel, the dealer had it looking brand new in 48 hours for like $100-$150....

You are in very good company.

Try a Sharpie -- can't hurt any and you might be pleasantly surprised... Try to limit it to just inside the chip, rather than marking any of the unchipped/painted part.

Testors model paint is also an option. The flat black in the shaker pen.

I used Tamiya model paint satin black. Perfect match and has held up for 2+ years.

Good to know.
Just looked at their website - some cool models too - mostly military. ... now entering 2nd (3rd?) childhood reincarnation. Haha!

They are the top tier model kit maker in Japan. Lots of cars and motorcycles too if you are looking for German and Japanese models.
