Here is our Luke taking a break from guard duties

. He is a 3 year old German Shepherd/ Australian Shepherd mix . Very smart and nothing gets by him he hears and sees everything .

It doesn't appear to be a major break from his duties - I can tell by his eyes and posture that he's still on the job! Nice!

But yeah, their lives are too short. I've had female Rotties continuously for 43+ years, always at least two so that I'm never without one. Sadly, they too have such short lives. My oldest, Trina is now 9½. Gonna be another hard loss but the times with them are irreplaceable so all is good.
