It doesn't appear to be a major break from his duties - I can tell by his eyes and posture that he's still on the job! But yeah, their lives are too short. I've had female Rotties continuously for 43+ years, always at least two so that I'm never without one. Sadly, they too have such short lives. My oldest, Trina is now 9½. Gonna be another hard loss but the times with them are irreplaceable so all is good.
