Still a long shot for Max though he is now level with Oscar in the points after the DQs.
24 points behind with 58 points available the next two races . Max has nothing to lose but Lando/Oscar have everything to lose . I say Max has nothing to lose based on so many folks wrote him off before the summer break .

Max takes the win after McLaren blundered on pit strategy . Very poor decision , at the very least they should have split the strategy. It's all down to the last race now .

Very engaging race, that.
Often late in the season the final few races are meaningless as everything has been decided . Not this year. Will be a grim evening in the McLaren team meetings.

Overall a very good season I thought. Next year with completely different cars will be a complete crapshoot. I am a bit worried that it may be less exciting with the greater emphasis on braking but I may be completely wrong. Also very hard to predict which cars will be most competitive in a complete change of rules. Will be interested to see how Adrian Newey does at Aston Martin and the development year at Cadillac.

I would be curious to know what the "secret sauce" Red Bull used to finish the season so strongly.
And, I wonder if the new car regs will lessen the gossip "journalism" for F1
