I thought I did, but it seems the carpokes site is having issues? cc: @Tom I keep getting a cloudflare error when I try to load my private messages. I'll try again in the morning.Gaspowered wrote: Mon Apr 20, 2026 6:34 pm @spacecad3t

You do?? Anyone else? I did update cloudflare settings recently so if they are creating issues, definitely let me know! You can email me at [email protected] if PM's are working... If you can get a screenshot of any cloudflare pages/errors, that would help a lot!spacecad3t wrote: Mon Apr 20, 2026 7:27 pmI thought I did, but it seems the carpokes site is having issues? cc: @Tom I keep getting a cloudflare error when I try to load my private messages. Edit: PM sent. And if you are on a Mac, I may have just fix it.
My car is also pretty rough over potholes, etc. with 25.5mm & 18mm bars.
I actually bought some standard bars, but never got around to putting them on -- it's not long before you get addicted to the super-flat cornering with the M404/Turbo bars. The rest of my suspension is pretty stock (though with front struts converted to Bilstein cartridges).

I am running the 968 M030 front (28.5 mm) and rear (19 mm) sway bars with 250lb/in + Koni Sport inserts in front and 28 mm torsion bars + Koni Sport shock in the rear on my 86 951. Both front and rear were set at 1 complete turn from full soft. I drove it last weekend at the Barber Motorsports Park for 2 day HPDE. I had 17” wheele (7.5” front, 9” rear) and RE-71Rs tires. It rode really well. Now my driving skills need to improve, for sure. I drove to/from the track and it drives well on the street. Only real annoyance on the street was with a rough section of raised interstate with the seams between the poured sections. I seems the harmonics of the highway seams aligned with the harmonics of the car/suspension and I seemed to floating down the road.Aaron_N wrote: Mon Apr 20, 2026 1:12 pmI am running this sway bar setup with 200 lbs/in Weltmeister front springs (1" lowered) and larger 25.5 torsion bars on an '86 NA. I can recommend it highly. Cornering is much flatter than stock, no tire lift, very capable with 200 UTQG tires for fast street and HPDE. Balance is neutral to gentle oversteer. A bit harsher than stock, but not too much...nothing like a dedicated track car would be. I wish I could figure out how to get rid of the harshness, but I think it's just the 944s character. Have replaced all suspension bushings.Gaspowered wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2026 6:45 am @spacecad3t
I have a set of bars (25.5mm front and 18mm rear) that you are welcome to.
You might try the 968 standard front sway bars (26.5 mm) but it will require new end links and bushings. The rear bar on the turbo is 18 mm. The M030 is 19 mm but has 3 holes for adjustment.

Im still waiting on some parts for the sway bars, but today I swapped the eccentric bolts. Nowhere as bad as I had imagined.

Appreciate the input and setup. I thought about going larger, but I think the 25/18 is a good combo for my setup. Since all I did was add new shocks with stock springs and torsion bars. I do want to get the front sway bar support braces, the new ones Lindsey Racing has on the site: https://www.lindseyracing.com/LR/Porsch ... DFSBM.html -- A little pricey but I bet they do alot of work adding stiffness over those dangling sheet metal pieces.zooklm1 wrote: Sun Apr 26, 2026 10:07 amI am running the 968 M030 front (28.5 mm) and rear (19 mm) sway bars with 250lb/in + Koni Sport inserts in front and 28 mm torsion bars + Koni Sport shock in the rear on my 86 951. Excellent!
I'm glad they're finally getting some good use.
You'll have to let us know what difference you can feel between the stock and LR front mounts.
Cheers
