BTW - the ground signal from the ECU is quite short - hard to measure on anything but a scope

BTW - plan B is to let your buddy hold the spark plug and you can judge the signal strentgh by how loud he screams at you.

Here are my ignition settings in case anything jumps out.
As far as I can tell everything is registering correctly. I’m seeing good RPM, IAT, CLT, trigger sensors.

That "output voltage" setting of 5V seems like a good place to look, 944 coil needs 12V. This also could explain the dim test light.
Post a screen shot of the other options in the output voltage drop-down menu.

is the ECU powering the coil? the 5v setting seems odd - you mentioned that you were reading 12v at the coil.

I don’t know, yet

but this is where I’m focusing my troubleshooting for now. Also looking at dwell time per your earlier comment. And yes, the ECU is powering the coil with the help of an IGBT driver, which is installed. Need to make sure that’s working too.

I'm pretty sure the 951 coil is 12v ground triggered.

yes, it is. so i wonder what the 5v setting it for?
