Put it all back together today and finally have a functional 951 again. Thought I'd post this shot of the new dealer fuel line as installed. The feed line, 951.356.919.04, now has the silver heat jacket instead of the black rubber foam cover. Replaced the jumper piece with the dealer part too. The return line is the rennbay kit, which I'm confident is every bit as safe as the factory pieces, but I still may look to replace that when the rear half of the new hard lines arrive from Gruhsy. I figure if anything ever does happen, it would be nice to be able to tell the insurance co (and anyone one else who matters) that the fuel lines were fresh updated factory parts.

Now that's an improvement. The silver heat jacket certainly appears to be safer than the rubber foam. No more eventful posts please.

Fuel lines and engine harness rebuild fire sleeving. Using this stuff in black for the engine harness. Have it on the fuel line.

Huge thank you to @gruhsy for the back half of the return line. Have to say it looks great too, and VERY carefully packed.
My favoite part is that the box is plastered with "expidited parcel" stickers, yet it took almost 2 and a half weeks to go 1000 miles. By my math, that's about 2.5 mph, or just a smidge slower than the average walking speed. I'd hate to find out what non-expedited shipping is like.
At any rate, sincerely appreciate this. Will update this thread if/when I get it in the car...

Yeah, now I'll need to get under there and see if I can get it in without taking half the car apart. I "looks" like I should be able to snake it up there, but I though the same thing with the front hard pipe I replaced and ended up having to disconnect the brake lines....

No coupler on either line?? That’s weird. Now i’m wondering if they updated to 2 piece lines after they stopped selling these cars in the US…. I haven’t looked but bet a nickel that Pet now shows a front and back line with couple for both the feed and return lines on your car…

kinda a bummer, no splits. Theoretically, the only way to crimp on new fuel lines would involve dropping the entire rear torsion bar suspension (which would then allow the removal of the hard lines). I check out the hard lines on my 89T last week they have no splits and just go straight back to the fuel pump and tank.Tom wrote: Tue Jul 12, 2022 11:17 am No coupler on either line?? That’s weird.
