My dashboard has lit up like a Christmas tree on several occasions with error codes, warning lights, etc. After the most recent visit, Porsche switched out the software and it has been much improved but I still have the occasional start-up of the vehicle when everything lights up as non-functional. It has never impacted the actual drive of the vehicle and many times by simply shutting the car down and re-starting, it will reboot and everything seems ok. The other major annoyance is that it will often not connect the Apple CarPlay feature with my phone. Really annoying and when going through the prompts to re-connect, more often than not it will declare that I must not have a compatible phone. It could be the next time that I get in the vehicle that it seamlessly connects, or it could be several days. I've tried logging out and re-logging in both through the vehicle and through my Bluetooth connection on the phone but at the end of the day it seems to do its own thing on its own time.
I have had similar issues, but maybe not as much. I had to bring mine in to a dealer twice for a "Christmas Tree" experience, revolving around two groups of issues, 1) the sensing systems for safety automation (auto headlights, lane keeping, etc), and 2) wheel speed sensing systems (PTC, etc). In addition, the engine had been throwing codes related to ignition in one cylinder. Both times I had been driving, parked the car for a short period of time (less than 5 minutes), then restarted. They swapped around some ignition components, reset everything, and I haven't been back since. I just had a few of the sensing systems light up, when I stopped and shut down the car very briefly then started it again, with a low afternoon sun glaring at the cameras.

I also have had the same CarPlay connection issues, always when I have been driving, stop the car for a short period, then start it up again. It always re-connects the next time I drive. I have not had that issue in quite a while, now.

I think it will be interesting to watch the transition. She has been driving Lexus cars and SUV things for over twenty years. She has been rolling her eyes since my first Boxster arrived. I think the eHybrid will meet our CTQs. She can use it in electric mode on her errands. Give her a new car with new tech to learn. Her first new car in over thirty years. And I won't be bored to death like driving the Lexus....

I guess Lexus was trying to compete with BMW in the buttugly front end sweepstakes...The front grill on the new Lexus was one of the reasons the missus went with the Cayenne.

The missus took delivery of her new Cayenne eHybrid yesterday afternoon. Her first new car since sometime in the 1990's and her first Porsche. Happy girl! I was only allowed to sit in the back while the sales guy went through the tech in front of her. Maybe I'll get to drive in a week or so....

Beauty , I love the seat color on the blue, but then I love blue. My wife told me I could get a Cayman as long as it was not blue so of course I jumped. At that time I had two blue machines and fortunately for me I still have one ( 2013 Viper GTS ).
You do know once that is broken in she will want to race you, and those Hybrids are insanely fast ( my son has one ) so don't let her get the jump on you, ha!
