I drove it home ~70 miles from the PO with this going on in the timing case:

Hello Everyone - I'm Eldrick and a first time Porsche owner. I recently purchased a new to me 2005 997.1 C2 6spd. I was introduced to 911's by a former co-worker who would take me to lunch in his 1972 Carrera. The fuse was lit, but burned slowly for quite a few years. A few weeks ago, I ran across my car for sale locally and was able to secure it for a decent deal. I've since been performing much needed maintenance, fixing broken bits and learning as much as I can about the platform.

Welcome aboard Connor! I describe Carpokes as a grass-roots Porsche forum, but that's the first time I've seen actual grass in a Porsche engine! Glad you made it home. Time to mow the motor.

Great shot and definitely proof of concept in capability of the 944 platform.
As Tom said this is a great resource due to the depth of knowledge and experience on 944's with examples of what many would call a salvage to pristine icons. Be sure to look back at the postings across the transaxle groups and follow the threads.
