Good afternoon from SoCal desert of Imperial County. Charlie here, 111 high for today. Currently owner of 2014 Cayenne S N/A V-8 and love it. I finally got rid of that suitcase exhaust system and went with same company that put exhaust systems in my previous 2 vehicles. Have a programmer to install in and purchase pedal command to get rid of that pedal lagging issues. This is my 3rd V-8 Porsche. Previously owned 2 928 79 (Euro) & 84 928S 5 speed during my Navy Days. USN (Ret). Future purchase may be a Panamera executive or turismo.
Favorite cars are 911 Turbo S & C7 Corvette ZR1. Don’t ask me to pick on them it’ll be the Cayenne GT V-8 with 911 Turbo S speed. Nice to meet all here.

Welcome to Carpokes Charlie - we're glad to have you here!

A few Corvettes in my past, including a C6 Z06 and a C7 Grand Sport among others including a fine 1966 427 roadster. Great cars all of them. Not a fan of the C8 styling but they are awesome performing sports cars. However, when looking at the big picture, Corvettes of all stripes are no match for Porsches as I see it!

Glad to have a fellow " Track Rat " and many of us who track or race our Porsches do enjoy seeing pics of our machines in action at various tracks. Any chance this is your car at Zandvoort?

Good afternoon from Switzerland!
I just bought my first Porsche, an '83 944 that's been sitting for over 20 years, so I'm taking all the resources I can find.
I hope I won't find any bad surprises in that car, but I guess that's part of the fun.
Wish me luck!

Welcome to CARPOKES and you are not alone in resurrecting a 944 that has been neglected for many years. Bu sure to look at the Transaxle grouping and you will likely come across issues that others have experienced in reviving such a wonderful and under appreciated car.
Thank you for joining!
