Stunning Panamera and I do agree the color is absolutely perfect. I am hoping the next time around I can convince my wife on a Panamera, though she loves her Macan S so much it may be years.

Since the founding of this new forum, it would be nice if new members stopped by and checked-in to introduce themselves to 'the family'.
Many may be 'Rennlist Refugees' (hey, we understand

). or merely new enthusiasts.
Regardless, welcome!
Since some may (or may not know who I am), I'll lead off.
Purchased my first Porsche in 1999 - a 924S 5 speed (wish I still had that car). Then a 928$4 followed by the 968's we have now (Fred and Wilma).
Daily driver is our Cayenne Turbo (Max).
Love your picture. Got one that's very much like it. I'm new on the site. Hope I like it. I'm a retired engineer. Worked in the nuclear industry most of my career and I don't have much experience in the automotive area. I overhauled a Plymouth 383 when I was stationed at Parris Island, SC a long time ago, but that's the extent of my experience working on engines.
I live in the Black Hills of South Dakota during the summer and Yuma, Az in the winter (yes, I'm one of them). Bought my first Porsche (99 Boxster) a couple years ago and then overheated it when the engine belt broke 40 miles from the dealer. I wasn't able to keep coolant in it after that. I needed a project, so I decided to take it apart, see how it ticked, and then rebuild it. It has been apart and in my garage for the last two or so years and now I have time to finish it.
I met Stormy Monday over on the PCA register and he suggested I also come here and meet you folks. So, here I am.
My Boxster has 80K miles on it and I intend to get another 100K out of it. I'm replacing just about everything that I feel needs replacing (bearings, timing chains, rings, valve springs, etc.). I just finished checking the heads and cylinders with an 800x magnifier and dye penetrant. I found no indications of cracking, but I did detect two, what appear to be very small holes, about 1/2 inch from the bottom of one cylinder. I'm in the process of checking those further but I do not believe them to be a problem since they are very near the bottom of the cylinder. They're probably just a false signal due to some kind of stain on the cylinder. I am going to upgrade the cars performance. I had partial porting done on the intake and exhaust ports. I will be installing a high-performance exhaust system with headers, and I may look at a DME upgrade. Other upgrades I am toying with are a center radiator and deeper oil sump. I'd be interested in hearing any experience anyone else has with these upgrades. I have lots of question. Hope you folks can help with them, and I will be happy to share any information I can.
I don't have any good photos of my car, but I have hundreds of photos of the inside of it's engine. I won't bore you with them here.
Glad to be with you.

Excited to be part of the community. I have 89 944 Turbo that I used to Club Race and now working to get it back on the street for casual use. I’m in the Chicago area and was a driving instructor in the region quite a few years ago. Looking forward to tapping into the collective knowledge within the community while trying to add something of value.

Just got my 2021 Python Green Spyder delivered from Virginia....It started in SoCal last year, went to VA, and now it is back home with slim chance of ever having the top up on it!
