I got the wheel this morning and it looks great, except the contrasting stitching isn't Cognac aa I ordered. They agree to redo the stitching but request I provide a sample of the correct color thread. I don't know how to get any, can someone give me a suggestion? I know the thread matches the Cognac leather so a leather sample would likely do as well.

If it exists outside of the factory,
@Crazy Eddie should be able to mail you a sample.....

I got the wheel apart and transferred everything over to the new one, buttoned everything back up and started the car. Mode switch didn't work, so today I pulled it back out to check the wiring. Everything looked fine, but as I was reinstalling it I noticed a tiny blue wire hanging loose. Pulled everything apart again and saw it had come out of a tiny plug that snaps into the little control box that fits inside the bottom spoke. I put the wire back, reinstalling everything again and the mode switch now works.
However, when I originally started moving everything over to the new wheel I saw there was no provision for heated wheel on the new one. I called Dallas Custom Wheel and Donald told me no, it didn't have it and he had told me so at the start. I pulled up the email thread and saw that he didn't tell me that, but the pictures he sent me of the donor wheel don't have the wires necessary for heating, so that's on me. I called him and asked about changing over to a heated vote, but he doesn't have any at present. I'm hopeful will get one before too long and I can work something out with him to get what I want. In the meantime I'm looking for one on my on. I just need a bare wheel, the "skeleton " if you will, as long as it has heat. Any tips on locating one are appreciated. LA Dismantlers doesn't have one, already tried them.
So, overall I like my new wheel, perforated leather center section and full leather top and bottom pieces. Workmanship is great, if I only had the heat! I'll post some pictures when I can convert my Apple iPhone pics to jpg format.

Here are pics of the new wheel on my car. After pulling it off twice more to fix the mode switch I put it on last night and then realized I had not reattached the shroud around the back of the wheel, so the "skeleton" shows and I've got to pull it again. ARG!! I'm getting really good at doing this, the only real issue is the wait time after disconnecting the battery before popping the air bag. No biggie though. I've just got to find a core wheel with heating to make this swap complete.
