Storch now has a plug n play MAF kit for the 951 that looks pretty clean and well-developed if you can't track down one of the domestic kits.

I wanted to share this link to some more helpful info i found on the web:

https://jmgporsche.co.uk/item/178-tunin ... rboparttwo

Curious if you all agree with the articles info?

Right now i am leaning toward the following:

- Keep my stock turbo.
- Swap to a three inch cat delete exhaust (LR with Borla).
- Dual port waste gate (LR or Tial)
- LR Max Chip
- Manual boost controller (LR)
- 3.0 FPR (LR)
Might add a gauge cluster for the boost controller and a boost gauge.

i think I should be able to put this together for about $2k.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Ken
The 3” exhaust will do nothing. Just have a shop cut out the stock cat and weld a new sport one. Spool up will improve.

Does LR chip support increased fuel pressure? If not then you don’t need the fbr.

***edit. Looks like Max chip does need an a 3 bar fpr. I have one available that I’m no longer using. PM me if interested.

If you're going down the route of manual boost control and chips, I suggest having some monitoring in place.

https://www.zeitronix.com/Products/zt2/zt2.shtml

This will also allow you to log to a laptop which is smart to review later as monitoring gauges for very log is hard while driving. There are a ton of sensors you can add to this for a good picture on things.

I haven’t had both but if you’re paying for a chip I’d at least email Vitesse and ask what he can do, tell him your proposed setup.

For the most part, the changes mentioned so far will address turbo responsiveness and drivability ( early spool up and earlier torque). If you want 300hp you need a bigger turbo.

I'd recommend getting your fuel injectors serviced (cleaned). Not expensive and good to do after 40 yrs of flowing fuel.
