I did not mean to discourage anyone with a 16V build in mind, far from it, but only to expect to spend time on some details. With an intake like mine designed to fit with most of the stock hardware one may only need a custom IC pipe from the intercooler to the throttle body and there was no modification needed to the various coolant lines, ISV location or many other "secondary" functions like Bergerac has gone through.
It is up to anyone to choose purchasing a 2JZ intake on ebay to save costs and chop it down but waste a lot of unrewarding time adapting all the other bits around it, or source an intake designed to fit with minimum hassle. Shameless plug I know but my welder can still make 16V intakes.

I'd just add that I was fortunate enough to be a passenger in Thom's 16v turbo 944 and I'd have to say it's the fastest I've been on the street. Losing traction in 3rd or was it 4th gear on a regular basis was quite eye opening!

If you wait long enough you can buy my racecar w/ custom 3.2lt 16v motor for less than it would take to have someone put a properly built custom engine together with all the extra hardware. Import it to Canada. Swap the engine out into your car. Put a nice little 8v into the race car and have some fun or sell it on.

No, he's just running out of patience with his latest build and vents the frustration in a certain way. Thanks for the kind comment but hang in there Patrick!

While Thom is correct. I'm also serious. By the time my car is finished...(if / when ?) I will be pretty sick of having the anchor around my neck and will be trying to sell it. Short of winning life changing Lotto, then it can stay.

That's a pity, I would have loved to have seen it in action. What's the cost/return ratio like on finishing it like though?

Well I won't sell it if nobody buys it lol. Cost/return is stupid. I'm just shoveling money into the fire but I can't stop now. Hopefully not too far now. Where have I heard that before...oh yeah, it was me.

SIR, not to worry, some addictions are legal.
But I can understand your pain and the tantalizing trap of building your dream, and KUDO's to you for continuing.

What are people using for 3.0 16v turbo pistons? Mahle doesn't appear to make them anymore.

You have to do a custom order with Mahle Motorsport, process took 6months when I ordered mine.

Actually I don't think anyone has them on the shelf, Wossner would be a custom order too
