Did you just turn off Bluetooth on your Android or did take it to the next step and delete ("Forget") the device (your 718) on the phone?

PS - I know that "unpair" suggests you did delete it but just thinking out loud here...

PS - as you can see, depending on the connected device's hardware (ie: your car) and available types of Bluetooth features, one can select specific connections to turn off rather than forgetting the device entirely.

PPS - alternately, you could also simply temporarily turn off Bluetooth completely if you don't need it while in your car.

I don't have those screens. Even when I unpair the car and turn off bluetooth on the phone, they still pair when I get in the car. I can find the phone connection on the PCM, but I don't see the option to stop pairing. I even broke out the owner's manual.... :o :o

Do you have another device that you can use to test AA? This looks like a phone issue. If you can reset your PCM to factory defaults then try again.

I agree with 718socal's assessment that it must be a phone issue. I'm curious if your phone reverts back on its own to its Bluetooth paired and Bluetooth on states after you've turned both off. In other words, are the sliders turning back on automatically?

In case you haven't already done this, restart your phone. Long shot but it might help...nothing like a reboot to get digital synapses back on track.

what I found this morning. And I don't have a second device that I can use.

With the phone's bluetooth OFF and the car unpaired. And the Car's connections to my phone deleted, as soon as the phone is plugged into the car the two make a bluetooth connection. Resetting the PCM to defaults didn't help any.

So a little online research into this, turns out that wired AA uses bluetooth for the phone connection and everything else goes through the USB cable. Seems like when the car or phone pings the other AA goes away and then requires re-selection from the PCM screen.

Not sure what else to try at this time.
