What's the rear brace?

Car is an ‘86 turbo - I have the KLA strut brace and the Lindsey Racing fuel rail and there’s a good 1/2”+ of clearance brace-to-rail. The intake manifold has less clearance (1/4”), but no sign of any contact between them. The brace has been on the car for over 1 year at this point.

I got a rear brace recently. Haven't fitted it yet but the same guy who made my strut brace made it and here it is fitted on his S2. He is on carpokes.

They look like nice parts. No one has sat in the rear seats of my car for the 15 years I've owned it. So I mounted the rear brace lower in the shell, where the seat catches are located.

I'll find his details, he doesn't post much and I dont know his username off the top of my head. He is doing a run of them right now. One thing you'd need to consider is shipping from New Zealand to Florida. KLA does a similar brace but it removes the upper mount for fixed or inertia reel 3-point seat belts whereas the one pictured keeps them.

I have had a strut brace on my 951 track car for over 20 years. I don't have the plastic cover on the fuel rail. It has never rubbed. The motor mounts were new, 20 years ago. When the 951 was down for a couple of months, I put the brace on my S2 for autocross. Completely stock car. Did not rub there either. Maybe different brands of strut brace?

Actually, I was able to install the plastic cover, but I think I modified slightly.. the issue really was the metal bracket that holds the fuel rail really needs to be modified in order for the strut brace not to rub against it( I didn’t have the heart to heart into that fuel rail brace) destroyed, braces, made by Dynatech

Eddie, you are correct. I had a set of Dynatech camber plates in mine but the blue (plastic? Poly?) bushing material disintegrated and I could not find them (small company, specialty parts, possibly moved on to other cars....) so I bought new camber plates from Racers Edge. I believe a couple others that had Dynatech camber plates had bushing issues based on queries on other sites. I still have the brace but have not yet mounted it.
