I just joined and came across this thread.
Use mirror mounts in 3 of my Porsches and my LR4. There are several sellers out there- I get mine from Etsy. They’re about $20-25. Haven’t gotten around to hard wiring them yet. The detector tucks in under the mirror and doesn’t look too bad. Have the Valentine V2, Escort Redline 7500 and Uniden R7. Uniden is my favorite because there’s a different warning for KA band. They’re all good.
