The version I'm working on right now doubles-down on the retro look. But the baseline for it will make it easier to do one more along the lines of the Singer gauge you posted. :)

I'm loving this. I'll keep working on a Singer-like version, but this may be the keeper for my car. I loved my '85 Carrera, and these gauges remind me very much of that car...

I've added my name to the list for a set. Probably the only thing I'm curious about is how effective the gauge lighting is at night.

I drove my car today and was wondering about this. Tom can you confirm that when your rings are installed, there is enough light getting to the gauges from the stock dash lights? Otherwise we can look at adding some backlit gauges:

I'll do some more testing and post some pictures, but I did check it once at night and it seemed the same as before. The only wildcard is that I put these bezels in an old gauge pod without the LED kit I normally use, and with standard-watt bulbs, so it looked dimmer overall -- but from memory it looked just like it did before the LEDs. I'm out of pocket the next couple days, but by the end of the week, I'll take some pics with standard bulbs and LEDs at night and post them up. I don't think it's an issue, but won't officially offer these unless/until I'm confident on that (and all other) fronts. :)

Rather than transfer my LED over to the other pod, I'm also making my own LED kit -- with 3D printed components -- so may end up offering that too. It should be dirt cheap. :)

The moman gauge faces were going to be my solution too, but only if I need to.

The backlit faces would be a great addition to the bezels. I've often thought the gauges are about the only interior item that really dates the car, otherwise its still quite contemporary in my thinking.

are you guys going to make an STL file for the rings?
I'm really interested

Anyone tried lighting the dials from the outside? Photo is a proof of concept test with 3mm wide LED strip, need to work on the design for 3D printed rings to mount the strip. I've used some 2mm washers to space out the rear panel of the cluster from the front housing for now but it's not the most elegant solution.
