I finally picked it up today (two price increases later). It's bad-ass.

I don't have good pictures yet, but I'll post what I have:


It's Agate Grey with the Bordeaux Red (stitched) interior:


It has the Center Lock wheels and 6-piston brakes with the Turbo S wheels:

What's your break-in plan? I went the full 2,000 miles before going over 4k rpms, and it was tough and seemed like overkill. Can't wait to hear your reaction after you try launch control for the first time. First time I did it in my 991TTS, I literally got woozy.

BTW, the Turbo has the Front Axle Lift System (my driveway). It adds 18 pounds to the weight and makes the front trunk a little smaller.

I got the LCA (Lane Change Assist) and the "sofa seats" which are the 18-way Sports Seats. They are more comfortable than the lightweight seats.

I sure checked the box on the Sport Exhaust System. I can leave my neighborhood in normal mode then toggle it to more sound from the alloy 3.8L Flat-Six with the Two Big Turbo's. Just saying.

My salesman said that the factory says 1200 miles below 4000 Rpm on this car (my 2020 Carrera was 500 miles). He says they allow brief sessions over 4000 Rpm.

I am keeping it in that range since I need to become familiar with the power and the 4-wheel drive. I'll be careful to get heat in the engine before doing anything.

The Bordeaux looks great with the exterior color. Congratulations on your new car! Are you replacing the side marker lights with the clear ones?

So far, I got the original MSRP for my old 992 and paid MSRP for the new car (my dealer never charges more than MSRP). I am really good so far for a car ordered over a year ago. I am trying to understand the new car.

I had no idea that the Bose was standard. It is better than the old stock radio in the older 992's.

If you need help with anything let me know. When I picked up mine, I drove the whole way home with the radio on and tuned for a foreign language station I couldn't understand. I could not figure out how to turn it off.

My biggest problem was going to the My Porsche place. It saves the car settings for you. It has a password and a four-digit security code. My computer browser had them both. Heck, I didn't remember them. I had them written down at home.

He called Porsche USA to get my security code.

I think that we got all codes and defaults done properly. It's mostly the same as my older 992 software except for the dial on the steering wheel (my Carrera didn't have it).

I'll keep it up to date as I drive the car.

BTW, the current Turbo S is $33,000 more. It has 640hp@6750 rpm. The torque is 590 @2500 Rpm
My Turbo is 572hp@6500 Rpm. The torque is 553@ 2250 Rpm.

Both weigh in at around 3635 pounds. Both have awesome torque at just above idle. The torque is what gets it going fast forward.

Congrats Doc!! The car is gorgeous and I know you're excited.

About those reviews of the TT & TTS ... from what you've posted so far, you are doing a great job. I'll try to join in if I have anything relevant to add. (edit: I just saw your reply on the other thread.)

Break-in (Porsche calls it "Running in the car" which is why one cannot find it in the Owner's Manual) is 1,875 miles (3,000km) at the aforementioned 4k rpm max. However, exceeding that a bit, especially after 500 or so miles, is fine as long as one uses common sense. (IE: hold off on launches.)
