I completed the “de-chroming” of my interior today with the installation of my new GT Sport (blacked-out) steering wheel. Red stitching and red leather TDC ring complete the look. Been wanting to tone down all the shiny bits since I got the car four years ago. New wheel from RennmeisterLLC. Yes, that’s a Carpokes Special red sport Chrono switch cover  .

Yes.
I was concerned that RennmeisterLLC’s favorable price and Chinese origin might compromise the quality, but the wheel is A+. Hard to tell apart from OEM.

I have been considering swapping the race-tec wheel in my car at some point. I would like a chunkier wheel and Leather would be easier to keep clean.

On the other hand, during track days I stopped thinking about that after I got driving gloves, I am surprised how much I like using them

Agree, I hated racing gloves when I first started using them and now I find them to be another mod to go faster, ha. Well, maybe a good item to keep from ever getting blisters if driving alot over a practice day and knew a busy 2 day weekend.

I've never driven on track without proper race gloves. I wouldn't know what to do without them. For me, it would be as though I decided not to buckle up! Lol. Same for correct shoes - such a difference.

I thought the old adage of "Slow is Fast" was depicted well by this sticker for instructing at tracks with my 981 GT4.
