Always clean the barrels.. thankfully I can reach inside…

Without removing the wheels, I use Meguar`s HOT RIMS WHEEL & TIRE cleaner. On my other 12 year old car`s mags, years of brake dust disappeared. :wtf:

And I don`t care what the neighbours think; I`m taking care of business !

Wheel cleaner, save your money, buy original dawn, put some into a spray bottle, mix with water and wheels will come clean

It’s cheap, it won’t harm wheels finish.. of course if you have a finish you’ll need to wax them…I’ve got wheels I even buffed

I know the dish soap, if it`s that good for dishes (and it is), I will try it once I finish the stuff I have.

I do precisely that.
I highly recommend a wheel spinner. Makes things so much easier...
