I do like that idea a lot. I did some similar striping on my track car using BMW M colors, but not reflective tape!

We have a graphite blue metallic S, which is a color I do like a lot, but it lacks some "pop" as you say, unless in bright sun. Bright red reflective tape is a color that might work under the spoiler for us, since it pairs with the brakes. There is no doubt my wife would notice this, since she is the detailing queen, so it is mandatory that it is reversable.

There seem to be several 718 S cars in graphite blue metallic in my neighborhood. Never noticed them before this year. (GBM is has an awful medical connotation, so I try not to use it.)

Tinted, paint correction, PPF, Ceramic Pro on all surfaces.
