No luck. I looked and can't find them. They have to be somewhere, so will keep my eyes out for them. Sorry. :(

Well I'm $116 poorer but apparently the rear woofer is still available from the dealer. Very surprised so I hope it actually arrives!

If my research is correct, on a 944 it's the same front and back. I have never seen a picture of a rear tweeter removed from the c-pillar trim so I cannot confirm, but from the rear they appear to be the same.
I have a brand new set of 10-speaker rear grills with tweeters I bought many years ago. Was going to fit them to my non 10-speaker S2 as I liked the way they looked in the '89 951. They've been in the box for something like 20 years. Wonder if they are still good?

Honestly I wouldn't see why not, I don't know what it would take to get it to function properly, though. The 10 speaker system is crazy complex as I'm finding out.

Well I got the new speaker in today. Perfect match and bolted right in.

Only problem is that I hooked up the tweeter to test everything, and when I tried to disconnect it, the large spade terminal ripped out :-/

My hunt for a replacement tweeter failed. No one has anything, anywhere and I decided not to try and rely on a tweeter that was the same age as my others so I bought new ones. I was worried about mounting (since OE is such a weird shape) but I think I found a great solution.

I had to cannibalize the old tweeter to get the front face/mounting frame, but after a few minutes with a dremel, I had a good starting point. I still need to recess the tweeter about 2-3mm, but that should be easy enough.

Here is what the original tweeter looked like:

Nice work! If you end up having problems with that original speaker housing/flange thingie, that would be a perfect part for my 3D printer! :)

That it would!!!! Thing you could make some? I’ve never designed anything in any cad software.

Absolutely. I'm not a CAD expert like some, but for something like this, I can do that no problem. We may have to iterate a bit, but maybe the best start is to either draw a picture by hand with dimensions or post a on of pictures with ruler/caliper measurements so I can get something started....
