Thank you for the advice! In my research, one of the video's suggested using a proper sized bolt and a nut to pull the boot flange onto the CV to seat it before installation. I thought I'd work my way around the holes to slowly seat the flange.
I found this thread (https://studylib.net/doc/9055487/cv-joints---rennlist) in RL while researching the operation that had some discussions on what to do in hopes of preventing the bolts loosening once installed. Its an older piece but still relevant.
I will also clean all the threads in the flanges on the car with brake clean or electric motor cleaner before installing the bolts then some loctite blue as some added prevention. Two suggestions to prevent the bolts loosening from that article thread were either safety wire (an art unto itself) or lock washer. Pegasus Auto Racing Supplies has Nord-Lock washers for this type of application should I determine that I need them.
