What do you think of this design? I like the way the lower / bottom portion of the winglet (which sticks out more) wraps around the trim moulding.

I prefer the full size winglet

And the 3M adhesion concept rather than dismantling the car

Oh fine, I'll go back to the full wing. ;) I was having issues with the full wing warping when I cure the plastic, but have a few tricks to try to solve that. I was also worried about the whole thing sitting out too car and looking bulky, but that CF one Hawk printed looks at least as bulky as mine.... Does that one stick on too, or does it replace the factory one?

I don't know. I have contacted the company with this very question and am awaiting their reply. Will let you know.

Trying more ideas before printing again... Trying to create a scalable flat wing like the metal ones but without looking like press-break folded sheet metal... Thoughts?

I actually like the texture

@Tom Does the texture help avoid the warping?

No, that's purely cosmetic in the CAD software. I just thought it looked cool. Here's the same part with a cherry wood finish. :) It prints the same grey plastic not matter what finish you show in the CAB. I studied up and ran a warp-free piece over night. I always printed things flat, because they print much faster that way. Doing that on these triangle pieces creates lots of big sheet-like layers, which are prone to warping. Printing it on a 45 degree angle eliminated that issue, at least in my test print last night.

This is obviously another labor of love for you. I can absolutely relate.

I like the texture, however, wonder if it will hold / show dust, dirt. Can’t imagine it would have any effect on aero. Definitely not oem look. But, it’s cool. Reminds me / mimics carbon fiber look. I like it!

So is simulated carbon fiber feasible ?

Just askin’ for a friend 🤣🤣🤣
