I haven't had to do this (don't say it...) but my plan was always just to grab a cheapo inductive heater to speed things up and avoid wrangling a torch if I ever went after the studs. Hell, might do it for the exhaust I've put off removing...

Something like this plus a benchtop power supply. I guess they make proper all-in-ones too, but...$35!
