I DONT want to kick the person when they’re on the ground, But I THINK Tom shut this conversation down awhile back involving Tim from SFR…. I DIDN’T lose any money or get ripped off, But I also had a HORRIBLE experience when I bought a Stage 2 Supercharger kit for my 944. His kit is SUPPOSED to include turbo injectors and it came with some aftermarket Siemens type injector!!!!! It was SUPPOSED to have a OEM Porsche 996 blow off valve and it came with a cheap knockoff!!!!! After months on my local dyno shop I finally got things sorted out, But I fell into the SAME category of not answering Emails, Phone calls, and Texts….. I wouldn’t even THINK about dealing with him anymore….

I did shut down a thread quite a while ago about a similar situation, but that was primarily because it got very heated and started involving threatening language. Otherwise, vendor reviews/experiences are a valuable part of having a community like this. Human nature I suppose, but we're much more likely to hear about awful experiences with vendor x than we are great experiences with vendor y.

I agree 100 percent Tom, We DONT need or WANT any issues here and I commend you for not tolerating that behavior…

Hey guys,

I reached out to Tim Richards this evening to see if I could help him get back on track.

His aunt responded to me with a picture of Tim in a hospital bed. One side of his head is bandaged and looks swollen. He is connected to many tubes and devices. He was assaulted and has been in a coma for 3 weeks.

There is a Go Fund Me site https://gofund.me/44cf1e8fd. I am sure the hospital bills will be extraordinarily high and his business is probably not generating any revenue. Most importantly, he has two daughters that depend upon him.

I have received all of my parts so I contributed.

Well this is not what I was told. I've had texts on his phone supposedly from his aunt and then from his "ex-wife". The story I was told, after being sent the same image, is that he had brain surgery due to an aneurysm ("double brain bleed") and was not only in a coma, but on a respirator.

You were told he was assaulted?

I didn't want to make any assumptions and had already written off the money I sent him last year, but now this is starting to smell again. I didn't say anything because I didn't want there to be a rush on his shop while he wasn't there, just out of decency. I've let my issues with him go, but this sounds fishy.

I’ve also been waiting on parts for well over a year now and have been receiving the same BS excuses. Car crashes, hospital visits, house problems, etc. Constant dog ate my homework excuses followed up by lies on progress about the parts.

I don’t doubt he’s probably sitting on many many thousands of dollars of ppls money who never received parts. Dude is serial liar, I wouldn’t believe anything you receive from text or phone calls via him or is family members.

Tim is still in the hospital in a coma from being physically attacked (not by a customer).
Hopefully Tim with recover but I really doubt his business will.
I’m out a set of headers, making other plans.
