I think this is a great idea for those who can't or don't want to 3d print a guide. Should work fine!

I think this is a great idea for those who can't or don't want to 3d print a guide. Should work fine!
Just be sure to install several centering/drill bushings in a few other holes to make sure the one you are drilling is centered over the hole.

Haha thanks. I guess I should have read it more thoroughly :crazy: I made these little plastic drill bushings also.

I actually started with plastic drill bushings so thanks for posting. They do work, but very slightly less fool-proof if the broken bolt forces the bit off center.

I print ABS by default, but for this, literally any filament other than TPU would be fine...

I end up printing drill jigs for just all sorts of things around the garage and house. Gives you CNC accuracy with a hand-held drill. :)

I like the idea of jigs. It is almost impossible to keep things square without one.
