Update: It worked! The tools I ordered got the pins out (and back in), allowing me to install the new boot.

I'm going to take a look at the tools that were found to make this happen because this is pretty great news.

That is excellent news! Mine are ok, but I can definitely see doing this in the future. Appreciate the update :clap:

I have a pretty good collection of pin extraction tools not just for the 944 but for electronics in general. But not that one! I'm definitely going to have to add it to the toolbox :-)

Deutsch DR02 is the part.
It comes in a set of three for about $20-$30

A few drops of silicone spray into the terminals and it comes out very easily.
