AFAIK it increases slightly the boost.

It wouldn't increase boost in an NA car (like the aforementioned GTS 4.0). I'm curious if this is a way to get more Sport+ like performance but without increasing the PSM threshold?

Thanks for posting this. I had previously thought that the PDK gear changing map with Sport Plus plus was the same as pressing the Sport Response button. This is also the first time that I heard about the change in build up in boost pressure.

SR button is only on PDK cars I believe. I don’t have any button my my manual GTS 4.0
That is correct

I believe on the 718 with the F4T, it closes the wastegate to allow the turbo to spin up quicker.
Whilst I have it on my CGTS, I have never pressed it……!

I confess to experiencing this button accidentally the first time on someone else's car. Sometimes autocross can get hectic and surprises ensue. The PDK downshifted and pegged the throttle, scaring me more than my passenger. Went to a secluded spot and tried it more systematically. On our 718 S the seller had an insanity mode in the Individual setting that I immediately deleted.
