Tiny update:
Yesterday I filled the car up with fresh gas and now the fuel gauge reads ABOVE the max capacity (about 1 mark above, if there would be a mark). When it was empty (I filled up just shy of 50 liters which is +- 13 gallons), the fuel gauge read 4/5th full.
So...
-> Tank completely full: gauge beyond full mark
-> Tank almost completely empty: gauge 4/5th full with orange indicator light pretty faintly shining
Next step, refill the tank and get a reading from the fuel gauge in the tank?

You should have a 21.7gal tank (rougly 82 liters). Are you sure you were empty? Still doesn't explain the offset reading, but how were you gauging fuel level?Belgian951 wrote: Mon Apr 07, 2025 12:35 am Tiny update:

Well the orange indicator was on so I assumed I was empty. It's possible that it wasn't completely empty. Going on the prices today and rechecking my banking account, I filled up 54.74 liters (14.46 gallon).Darwin wrote: Mon Apr 07, 2025 5:58 amYou should have a 21.7gal tank (rougly 82 liters). Unless Euro 951s have a different gas tank than their US counterparts that puts you at roughly 40% remaining. Really weird problem for sure! Sorry I don't have any advice :/Belgian951 wrote: Mon Apr 07, 2025 7:48 amWell the orange indicator was on so I assumed I was empty. It's possible that it wasn't completely empty.
