Nice, thanks for the update. How many miles on them now? Have you got on it to redline, etc.?
As for the start-up ticking, take a big pickle jar and installed a barbed hose fitting in the lid. Put a lifter or two in the jar and pour motor oil in until the lifter(s) is fully submerged. Then put the lid on tight and draw a vacuum with a mityvac. You'll see the trapped air bubbling out of the lifters (and oil going in). At least with 944 lifters, you can virtually eliminate that initial lifter tick. Have to believe it would work just as well on these lifters because physics.
They have about 160miles on them. Definitely have taken it to redline once or twice

I am hoping to do a autocross or some kind of HPDE soon.
Ya, I probably should have done the pickle jar thing but It's kind of a no harm no foul thing. If I were to do it again I would have pre-filled the lifters... less anxiety hearing the valve train ticking even if it's harmless.

I am finding articles on over-boring lifters as far back as the early 2000’s
The big one is going to a .904 on V8’s

Not news. The idea was from a guy in sweden that discovered the benz lifter back in 2019 from whwt I heard all this drama is nonsense
This is the original post talking about the lifters

Aside from replacing a worn item, what is the benefit (performance wise) of this?

It's cost and availability. The OE part is outrageous in price. It's almost $2K to replace them currently
