Hi Tom and Dr Bob,
I solved my problems with my dashboard. I'll explain what I did. First I cleaned all 3 connectors on the back of the dashboard with contact-cleaner. No result. I dissasembled the speedometer again and found that the 4 pin- connector on the back maybe didn't make contact. I bended the plates (don't know how to call it otherwise) a little bit and assembled again. Made a testrun and both speedometer and odometer worked.
Second problem: the lighting of the dashboard. First found out that the lights need 12V (because I wasn't sure), then found which pins of the connector are the ground and the 12V by looking at the tracks on the printed circuit board. I put 12V on them and the lights worked. Measured how much voltage I had on the female connector: 12V. Then found out that the contacts on the female side where not touching the male connector. I had to bend all iron strips very carefully to the inside with a very small screwdriver. After that the dashboard-light was working.
The voltage-meter on the dashboard is still showing 16V. That will be the one of the next things I will try to solve.
