It worked fine. The windshield has a steep angle, so the detector was tucked back.

I ordered my 2023 GT4 with the "Preparation for Dash Cam" option. Somewhere I was told this was an ideal way to power a radar detector without going to the footwell, right side, and chasing a wire up the A pillar and across to the mirror. BUT, I have not come across any dealer or owner who can tell me where that power source is, other than "at the rear view mirror." What cover do I remove at the mirror, how is that 12V source labeled/located/identified? Is a short piece of wire harness needed?

Thanks,

Mark

Suction Cups would always fail in the Canadian Winter. I switched to BlendMount for my last car. Detectors are not legal where I live now sadly.

I have given up on radar detectors because of the prevalence of lasers . There is so little scatter that there is no advance warning, so if they target you, game over.

These days I use Waze which is not perfect but does a good job is more heavily travelled areas and excellent for speed cameras. Of course the cops have Waze too so I have noticed that in NY state for example I might get a warning and then find the cruiser has moved.

Basically being alert is always necessary. ( or my usual trips to Germany:))......
