I’m a multi Porsche owner and PCA member but now that I’m retired we are on the road in an RV often, so I don’t have time to pursue this one myself. I hope someone who can does, as I’d love to see it properly restored.

Just over 3 hours from me, straight down I-59, a little below Tuscaloosa. I'll be down there in November, maybe have time to stop by an check it out.

Been there in that location for 5 years that I know of. The owner says it is not for sale. Going to fix it up. I am going by there this week on my way to Meridian will update. I am only 1 hour away.

It looks to be a 1973 model based on the front bumper small black protrusions and the blacked out horn grills. The door mirrors are from a newer model 1977-1989.
The wheel arches seem to be flared from the original factory narrow body. Already mentioned, the whale tail on the back is a later addition. It’s got an outlaw kinda vibe. In the 1980s many of these cars were modified and ‘modernized’. Values have stabilized since the peak in 2021, but it will be expensive to repair everything. Since it’s stored outside, rust is always a concern, but with enough invested, this seems like a fun project for someone.

How many times have we heard that? I chased a '65 Corvette that sat in a yard for over 10 years, the owner always gave me that same reply. Then one day I passed his house and it was gone.

By the picture, It is a 1973 with not period correct Fuchs and SC style rear flares, plus a not period correct whale tail. No tails, even duck tail were correct for 1973, other than the Carrera RS…which would not have the front bumperettes (don’t get excited…it is NOT an RS). I would be interested in finding out more. It has period correct headlight rings.

Unfortunately, I’m in northwest Louisiana. If I were closer I’d go and check it out for myself. Good luck to whoever has has the motivation and money to rescue this Porsche!
