More turmoil - EV and otherwise - at Stellantis which is apparently worse off than I thought.

VW Group (along with several other auto manufacturers) has been in the news (WSJ, Reuters, Automotive News, Financial Times, etc.) a lot lately regarding their problems with EVs, labor unrest, declining profit margins, unrealistic govt mandates and excessive meddling, unit sales declines, quality and more.

Here's another very brief take from SSO Report today. Maybe there will soon be light at the end of the tunnel but probably not before more turmoil.

PS - the bit at the end of the report on Lucid is a tell.

It will be interesting to see how the German auto manufacturers dis-invest from China. I find it interesting that they seem to be acting surprised about Chinese sales. A couple of years ago the Chinese government started pushing a "buy Chinese products" and luxo goods in a communist country only seem to work for the top elite. And, the EU market seems to prefer Chinese EVs over EU built EVs.

And Ford's CEO has been driving a Xiaomi for the past 6-months and is "loving it". He's been slammed all over the media for this in the past few days.

China is very good at producing disposable consumer goods. That point has now been formally reached with cars
