I ended up connecting with a programmer through RL who was VERY patient and dedicated to getting everything installed in my car. He even mailed me his OBDII adapter so the map in the instrument cluster worked. I now have full factory nav which I think is really cool. I still use Waze and Google maps a lot but sometimes it's easier to use the Porsche nav system I did very little myself but I'm proud I was able to get it running.

Will this work in a 2022 Cayman GT4 with Bose? I'd like to use the Porsche Track app but it needs navigation and I ordered the car without it, not knowing it was needed for the app to work.

Yes it will. Several owners have done this. I've never been interested in the PTPA so I've not followed that part of the process closely but it's possible.

Just wanted to say thanks. I got Navigation working and as a result the Porsche Precision Tracking apps works. Hurray!

Congrats, it really is pretty simple for the computer literate. I'm not but with help it was easy.

Great job. Does this hack work for PCCM plus 997 also?

Hey all, this method is out of date now. There is a method which uses ONLY a SD card with the appropriate software on it.

Your intended link still works - it's there as an embed rather than a plain ole' link.
