I am also considering the Zunsport vs. RGS grill options while I wait for arrival of my BGTS4. It is hard to find comparisons of the alternatives online, although I understand that the Zunsport grills fit outside the horizontal slats in front of the outer radiators while the RGS grills fit inside. Has anybody here seen installed examples of both grill sets and can offer an opinion?

I deciced to go with RGS as I feel they will look better (more OEM) since they fit inside. Once I get them I’ll post an update and pics regarding the fit and overall installation difficulty. The roads in my area are bad so I’m concerned the Zunsport would pop out and damage my bumper each time I run over a pothole.

I wonder if the GT4RS front grills would fit -- here's a screen capture from a recent video about that car....

Looks like a totally different configuration for the GTS. I have the Zunsport grills. They look great unless you get up real close and you can see the fitment is a bit off.

I really don’t understand why Porsche did not design them in the first place for all their models… or at least just put them as one of their numerous pricey options! I would have ticked that box instead of putting them myself with friggin tie-wraps!

I think just about everyone agrees they should be std eqpt. My zunsport fit perfectly - that said it’s weird that sometimes the fitment is great and other times it’s meh.

Has anybody figure out how to get the debris that gets through the tiny screens on your 718 Spyder front end. It looks like a bit of trash in front of the radiator. The only possible solution might be a high powered vacuum cleaner to suck it out?

I too have struggled with this. Especially since track days is the main reason for getting my cayman. I reached out to ask some questions zunsport with no answer. Rgs was nice enough on the phone but could not guarantee they would hold up to race track speeds and use. I also struggle with anyone confirming if there is any negative impact on cooling efficiency with these, as well as if they will hold up at triple digit speeds , and the potential for the whole warranty dealership issue.

I contacted Zunsport. Not only did they not have these guards for the 718 Spyder I was pretty much a standard they weren’t even aware that the spider with a different car in the GTS or any other model Boxster. Politely they told me if they had a donor car in the UK they would consider making the Shields.
