Mine made 185whp at 5.5 lbs of boost and 205 lb/ft of torque. The comp ratio was dropped in preparation for boost so it was gutless before the sc. I’d like to see about 225 whp but not sure I’ll get there. I’m not too worried about the power numbers. I love the feel and sound of an sc’d 944.Trouble wrote: Thu Sep 12, 2024 9:54 am My goal was to go NO further than 250HP I haven’t had any Dyno Pulls yet, But I’m guessing that I’m around 225 to the wheels, I’ve upgraded the stock CV axle joints to take 400HP But as you mentioned it IS a project in motion EVERY day….. Well Darren, YOUR talking to the RIGHT person here, I choose 250HP as a realistic goal because the 1989 Turbo S made somewhere in the range of 230HP and THAT was the BEST year… I ALSO love the whine of a Supercharger when you’re pulling away from a traffic light… I’m ALWAYS looking for adjustments along the way but as we speak I have everything pretty reliable… My car REALLY comes alive after 3K RPMS and the blow off valve between shifts is amazing, I’m using a Porsche 996 Twin Turbo valve and it’s worth the money….
I’d love to get all of the supercharged 2.5/3.0 8v/16v 944 owners in one place and have a discussion. Not sure how many of them are out there but regardless it would make for some fun conversations I’m sure!
Well Darren DEFINITELY include ME!!!!! I could’ve built a BEAUTIFUL 2.5Ltr Turbo block but in the end I would’ve just had a 944 Turbo stuffed into a N/A car, I wanted to work on something UNIQUE and TRUST ME,I get ALL the attention everytime I go to a Cars and Coffee and open up my hood… I talk to Brent from “Edera’s on his YouTube channel and he is going to try and build a kit!!!!! Check out HIS YouTube channel he IS a Master on our cars!!!

I built my first supercharged car back in 2014. I did it to make my car faster, but also to challenge myself and my capabilities. I looked at it like attending college. And not only did I learn about supercharging and tuning, I also learned about adversity, and how I handled challenging things. I learned so much with that first project, mostly what NOT to do. After blowing it up on the back straight at Mosport, I bought a turbo 944, and I hated it. I just simply don’t like the power delivery characteristics of a turbo car, especially on a road course. It didn’t suit my driving style. It’s why I struggle to get behind most new performance cars, I just simply dislike turbo cars. I still feel like I’ve only scratched the surface of knowledge required to make my car run like a factory built supercharged car but I try to learn something everyday to make it better. My budget is modest and my skills limited, but that just fuels my passion to learn as much as I can. The issue is there are so few of us out there with SC’d 944’s, we really are blazing our own trail and most of the time we are left to figure stuff out on our own. I’m not sure how to gather everyone but if you know of any supercharged 944 owners, invite them here, I’d love to start establishing a source of data and knowledge that others can draw from in their own quest to sc a 944.
Supercharged 944NA..
Yes I've done it
Eaton m62 from Mercedes-Benz.
Maxxecu.
2,5" fmic and piping, 3" on intake side.
Custom manifolds by my design and making.
+45% power on the wheels.
The dyno charts shows car bone stock and with supercharger.
Last pic is V2 of my kit that lets you keep AC.
I have a fb group too: The boosted NA society

Wow, these are all really impressive builds! For those who started with an N/A, did you have to source a new trans for the increased power delivery? I hear ours are built like glass
‘83 Platinum N/A 944
The stock NA clutch, gearbox and transaxle will handle +300hp without problems.
With that said.. a moron can blow the transmission with stock power...
I'm still running my +40yo original rubber clutch.
But I do have a new Sachs clutch kit on my shelf..
