I'll try to get more pictures today, but I've always thought my wheel fits like a glove on my non-airbag car....?

Sit in the passenger seat and see if you can see the "inner workings", meaning would a passenger be able to see the copper contact switch? When I got mine into position where there is no more scraping sound, you can definitely see the copper strip and a gap. I wouldn't think Porsche would allow such madness when they put it on the 968 CS, so they probably used a different stalk cover that somehow covers the gap - if that makes sense.

Here's a picture I found of an airbag equipped 944 with the clockspring removed. This particular unit has been modified with a spring-loaded contact for the horn function on a non-airbag steering wheel.
