interesting that it would seemingly operate properly without the ground wire at the switch. What would you presume it would do (or not do that it should) with the ground removed at the switch?

With the ground removed, the motor does not stop as quickly. Typically, the motor continues far enough to pick up the continuously powered part of the wipe cycle, and it never stops. In your case, there is enough friction to stop it before it gets that far. At least for now.

This park stop ground is part of your headlight motor, front and rear wiper motors, and hatch release motor.

Ok thank you! If I notice it is not stopping in its park spot, I will move that ground back into its original position on the switch plug. Much appreciated!
