Looks wired correctly to me. That tan-colored broken insulator on the main terminal makes me think this is the eBay version of that alternator -- from "california_alternator_starter" aka "LActrical" or very similar. If so, although I like the seller for trying so hard to make things right, I have to say I went through I think 3 of those alternators before finally giving up and getting a higher-quality rebuild locally. When you take them apart, the insides of the eBay version were kind of sad looking. On one, the voltage regulator was DOA, on another the stator core winding snapped off its post when it first ran, and another had a bearing scream at me right out of the box. I've since seen posts that make me think he's selling a higher quality rebuild these days, but if the exciter wire has power and a multimeter confirms no charging, I'd probably take the alternator in for testing at one of the national auto chains. They test for free, and you kind of get what you pay for, but they should be able to tell you if it's charging or not.

Quick update -

Got the meter out and started checking continuity from the brake booster connector to inside the car using the wiring diagram…

Some idiot (who shall remain nameless in an effort to save face from Car pokes friends) had miswired the alarm jumper (not using the alarm box). The alarm connector jumps two different pairs of pins - I had the pair correct to enable the starter but not the pair related to the exciter circuit.

Thanks all for the help!
