I had the AiM setup in a track car that I had before the GT4, and the GT4's been around for three summer track season's now, so the AiM family and I have had time to do battle as we've sorted through our issues! (By the way, AiM's stateside support is excellent. I also had a hardware issues that they were quick to rectify.)
But yes, the AiM was frustrating to figure out and I almost ditched it when Garmin's Catalyst was introduced. But then I dug in my heels and told myself that I was going to figure out the AiM set up rather than give up and capitulate. Probably would have been wiser to go ahead and move on to the Catalyst, but I eventually made peace with Mr AiM and Ms SmartyCam and am comfortable with them now.
