Thank you for sharing the pics! Definitely some fine cars to see. I want one of each.

So they did a new thing this year. Saturday was the traditional Luftgekuhlt air-cooled show, and Sunday was for all Porsches. When they announced this, I assumed it was because the air-cooled numbers were dwindling and they needed to include the newer cars to keep the show alive. I could not have been more wrong, however, as they had hundreds and hundreds of air-cooled cars on Saturday. The faithful may keep their cars in climate controlled garages most of the time, but they are out there and man did they show up in full force! By far the biggest gathering of air-cooled cars I've ever seen assembled in one place.

Saturday was a bit overwhelming. It was my first Porsche event ever. Lots of big dollar rare stuff …. But my favorite was this seemingly “pedestrian” 912 in all its 80s Cocaine-white glory with neat chrome roofrack and fantastic 80s gold BBS wheels with “center-lock-look” caps ….. followed by my own, which sat in a lonely corner!

I'd say your own was looking very good! Didn't look too lonely to me plus it had a great spot in front of the P-car banner!

I had a 912, guards red. It was a great car. Since then I had a 911T, Panamera, Cayenne, and currently a 2014 Carrera. The 912 was the best, I wish I could have it back. It was a great driving car and fast enough.

Great feedback on the 912. Probably a lot of people wish they had a few of their former cars back. I know I do!

By the way, welcome to Carpokes and thanks for joining in the conversation!
