terrible about the news around the track at imola
as for the race, it sounds like the calendar is way too packed to reschedule and it's a full on cancel

F1 definitely has a full schedule and I think you are correct about it not being rescheduled. They did the right thing by cancelling. Apparently the track is ok but the surrounding region is too devastated for any kind of event like that as they try to recover.

I know you know how bad it was here in Nashville when we had our "500-year" flood back in 2010. (I think it was 2010.)

A few brief (very brief) but interesting comments regarding F1 and its shorcomings from racing legend Hans Stuck.

After being a F1 fan for 50+ years I am simply thankful so many younger individuals are finding the top echelon of racing exciting and something they want to get involved with. So many automotive ideas and improvements have come out of the technical wizardry of F1, I have been excited to see the changes over the years, even when I did not initially like some of them. I actually do find the racing more exciting than decades back , because though the fast shoes are usually in the top 3, the movement and actual passing is much greater than it used to be, plus the small changes in the cars performance during the year makes for surprising changes. Alonzo and Aston Martin are hot at the Season's start, McClaren is an also ran, and Hamilton seems to make the podium with a car that is not the strong runner it has been. Then, bingo , Aston Martin falters , McClaren has a vast surge with Norris, and though Max is running away with things again, you have that feeling some of the other teams are figuring out the new build specs. Regardless of who you like, there are changes evolving and it does keep us guessing, talking and wondering , and when we are all doing those things, isn't that indicative of interest in any sport?
