Yes. The GT4 stays no matter what. It doesn't go until I do.

We can get wine locally. But I've been itching to go for a drive. I don't mind driving in the rain, but it's been too cold to drive on summer tires here until just recently. Next tires will be all season so I can drive more during winter and spring.

This week I have purchased a Softronics ECU flash for my 2021 4.0 Cayman GTS.

This software is flashable at home with a device from DimSport and it is called MyGenious. So far I have installed the MyGenious software on my laptop so I am ready to copy my stock calibration and send it to Softronics later this week when the device gets delivered via USPS.

I do have a two day track day this Saturday and Sunday planned.

Softronics flash installed, need some time with it for analysis but the process was simple enough and I like that I can flash it back and fourth myself if needed.

Please post a full review after you’ve had some time with the tune. You should be in GT4+ territory with regard to HP and TQ.

I was also reading on another Porsche forum about alignments and it seems that it is recommended to set these cars up with 1mm toe out and 2mm toe in per side. I am aware that toe out up front helps with turn in and low speed maneuvering but was unaware this was common for higher speed and braking stability. Likely this is a particularity of this chassis maybe.

With that in my head a I went out an measured my toe settings and found I had 1/8" toe in both front and rear. I adjusted the front to 1/16" toe out, will test that out this weekend.

I wish I had a couple metric tape measures sometimes. Might have to ebay some.

A random selection of comments from several people including BGM Motorsports.

I have only driven around the neighborhood so far, but noting negative to report. Will have a lot of miles on the car this coming weekend.

street and for every standard cayman or 911 1mm to 1.5mm out per corner up front is gospel.

Front toe set to 0 = wandering

Front toe set to about 1mm OUT = no wandering, stable feel at speed.

Front toe set to about 1mm IN = no wandering, darty feel at speed.

Regarding front toe settings:

1mm OUT per corner. It probably has zero in it; unless you like following every rut, channel, camber change, or road inconsistency to the point that you look like my dog sniffing at the lawn looking for the ultimate spot, change it! It's good for reduced rolling resistance which is good for fuel mileage but now I see what all the fuss is about from new P car owners complaining of high speed front end instability.

And why oh why oh why must i re-align the front end of this thing ASAP? I've done 3 so far. My $.02, if you have one and you're scared to go over 80mph with 1 finger on the steering wheel, fix the front toe!

So, to use as a comparison to what's being discussed, the track setup I currently run is -2.5° camber at all four corners with slight -0.02° front toe-out & 0.07° rear toe-in. For me it also works fine for occasional street use, much of which is driving to and from tracks.

Also, this is with Tarett front monoball Race Design camber plates/spring mounts and rear Tarett Motorsport Style turnbuckle toe links.
