Wow, the tank is way cheaper than the 944 one, now do I need to do this enough to justify cutting the car...

Unless it's for water injection, or an intercooler spray, I don't really see the point. I'd put the awkward to get to pumps in a much smaller tank in the original position. If I ever had to remove my reservoir.
