I sold my Taycan. I have two cars on order. 2023 Porsche Cayenne S Coupe, and a 2023 AMG SL55. I made $25k on the leased Taycan when I traded it into the Mercedes dealer. I was fortunate on the timing (it was just before used car prices started to tank). What a crazy market to be able to make money on a leased car that I had for 32 months. I have a deposit on a GMC Hummer EV SUV, but based on the email I received from GM this week, the allocation won't be available until late 2024.

Wow!
That's a lot of trading. I think your Taycan (I've seen it) was one of the first made by the Porsche factory?

What are your specs on the Cayenne S ? It's a coupe? Color of car and interior?

Please also mention the new (slower) Mercedes Benz AMG SL55. I think Lewis Hamilton has one?

The new Cayenne is a 2023 S Coupe Platinum Edition with $25k+ of options.
Main highlights:
-Chromite Black Metallic exterior
-Black/Bordeaux Red leather interior
-Carbon fiber interior trim and steering wheel
-SportDesign front fascia
-Performance package
-Premium package plus w/massage seats
-Rear seat entertainment
-Surround view, trailer hitch, soft close doors, fire extinguisher, under door puddle lights
-Delivery at Atlanta Porsche Experience Center

The new Mercedes is a 2023 AMG SL55 performance line
Main highlights:
-Twin turbo V-8
-AWD
-2+2 seating
-Hyper blue metallic exterior w/black fabric soft top convertible
-Exclusive Tartufo/Black diamond stitch nappa leather interior
-Carbon fiber interior trim
-Driver's assistance package
-Performance line (track mode, limited slip differential, active ride control suspension w/front lift, exterior night package, AMG dynamic plus package, yellow brake calipers)

I was looking at the new Maserati Granturismo as a replacement for my Taycan. Unfortunately, the EV version (Folgore) won't be out until the 2024 model year. The two V-8 models are not priced well (both will be over $200k with options). I have had 3 Maseratis. They look beautiful, and sound great, but they depreciate like rocks (much better to lease vs. own). The SL wasn't even on my radar, since the recent versions were not very exciting to me. I stumbled across a video on the brand new exclusively AMG versions and got excited.

This will be our fifth Cayenne. I was cross shopping a G wagon, but they still carry markups above sticker. The last time I owned a Mercedes was in 2005. The SL55 will be my daily driver. The Cayenne will go into production momentarily. I have a Jan build slot for the SL.

Here are some renderings.

Congratulations - great wheels !!!

I’ve had 2 AMG’s and enjoyed them both.

As an AMG buyer you will be able to sign up for the AMG driving school - for you either Road Atlanta or Lyme Rock would work.

Each gives a full day of driving experience with various AMG models - inexpensive, good value and great fun.

Thanks for the heads up on the AMG driving school. I was up in Connecticut last week for Christmas. We will need to catch up again when you are back in Georgia.

After that? If I can figure out the garage situation, I'll follow through on my Cybertruck deposit.
Good choice on the 992 GTS. So, it's the four wheel drive? [ I forgot the abbreviations]. Great car and what color?
Yep, four wheel drive. Aventurine Green.

Here's the build: https://cc.porsche.com/icc/ccCall.do?us ... e=PP6P86C3

(Hmm... Thought I had responded to this a couple weeks ago. Apologies for the late answer.)

Yes when you purchase a new AMG you get a discounted rate at the school - you have to provide the VIN

We are still in Ct - heading back to Ga tomorrow
