Southern snow can be bad- another friend was stuck in ATL for a week, about ten years ago.
It was actually The Atlanta Blizzard of 2014.
I stayed at home. My wife ignored my warning and got a ride with a 4X4 Toyota. They couldn't move forward due to massive back-ups on the cars ahead of them.
I still owned my Ford F-350 4X4 then and knew the traffic would be bad.

That was it. After a day or 2 the runways were clear, but crews and ground personnel couldn’t get to the airport.

As best I can remember, the last time it snowed enough to fully blanket the ground here, other than up in the hills, I was in Junior High School and Gerald Ford was President.

Yes, I agree. I've been all around CA with R Gruppe and RG Treffen.
I really can't afford to move there anymore. My wife and I have always liked the area around Santa Barbara, CA as a retirement place. We can't pay the higher taxes so we just visit the area today.

Gorgeous car, Norville! And to the best of my memory, Wisconsin has some great roads to drive on. Assuming they are in decent shape, of course. A lot of bugs in the summer though. Of course, now you will be able to avoid them!

We have a lot of the “drive straight for 4 miles, 90 degree left, straight for 4 miles, 90 degree right” type of roads but there are a few good ones. I live near a state road that follows the river, always a good thing. Except the pavement has gotten pretty rough, and virtually all the passing zones have been painted out in the last couple of years. Rumor has it it will be repaved in 2024 after a couple more bridge fixes next year. We can hope.
There is definitely no shortage of bugs in the short summer. I swear they can smell Meguiar’s car wash from just about anywhere and seek out my front end. Maybe the vinyl car bras from the 80s weren’t such a bad idea after all…

So true about the bugs - I hope some grill screens are in your future! I AM a believer in air deflectors at the front of a car or truck that will deflect air up and over the windscreen. I've always used them on my pickups and they really do work to keep bugs and stone chips away. I wish something could be invented for a 911!
